Valvetrain, servicing:

1. - Double bearing cap 
2. - 10 Nm 
3. - Exhaust camshaft bearing cap 
4. - Exhaust camshaft 
5. - Cap 
   • Always replace
6. - Intake camshaft bearing cap 
7. - Intake camshaft 
8. - Drive chain 
   • Mark direction of travel (installation position) before removing
9. - Camshaft adjuster 
   • Check valves for camshaft adjustment. See CAMSHAFT ADJUSTMENT VALVES, CHECKING .
10. - 10 Nm 
11. - Valve for camshaft adjustment 
    • only together with camshaft adjuster item 9, replacing

    Cylinder bank 1:

    • Valve -1- for camshaft adjustment -N205-*
    • Checking, see CAMSHAFT ADJUSTMENT VALVES, CHECKING 

    Cylinder bank 2:

    • Valve -2- for camshaft adjustment -N208-*
    • Checking, see CAMSHAFT ADJUSTMENT VALVES, CHECKING 
12. - Gasket 
    • Rubber/metal seal
    • Always replace
13. - Gasket 
    • Always replace
