A/C Compressor Clutch (On/Off Signal)

  1. Turn the ignition switch off. Disconnect Fuel Injection Control Unit (FICU) harness connector. Connect voltmeter between terminals No. 33 and No. 35 (ground). See Fig 1 .
  2. Ensure A/C switch is off. Turn ignition on. Voltmeter should read zero. If reading is not as specified, replace A/C relay.
  3. Place A/C switch in AUTO or BI-LEVEL position. Ensure A/C compressor clutch cycles on and voltmeter reads battery voltage with ignition on. If compressor does not cycle on and reading on voltmeter is not as specified, repair break in wiring.
