Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, use a diagnostic scan tool to perform the Flash Programming Procedure (if available). This will confirm that the module is updated to the latest applicable software level.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the right rear quarter trim panel. Refer to PANEL, QUARTER TRIM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Disconnect the wire harness connectors (1a, 1b) from the Power LiftGate Module (PLGM) (2b).
  4. Remove the two PLGM to body mounting bolts (2a).
  5. Remove the PLGM from the vehicle.
