Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, use a diagnostic scan tool to perform the Flash Programming Procedure (if available). This will confirm that the module is updated to the latest applicable software level.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the left side trunk trim panel. Refer to PANEL, TRUNK TRIM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Remove the amplifier mounting bracket nuts (1a) and mounting bracket.
  4. Disconnect the amplifier wire harness connectors (2a).
  5. Remove the amplifier and mounting bracket from the vehicle (3).
