Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, read Powertrain Control Module (PCM) DTCs and Freeze Frame Data and record on the repair order.
3. Using the recorded Freeze Frame Data and the When Monitored and Set Conditions above, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
4. With the scan tool, read DTCs and record on the repair order.
  Is the DTC active or pending?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
CHECK FOR OTHER DTCS
1. Refer to the recorded DTCs.
  Is the U1008-LIN Bus DTC present?
  
  Yes
  - Perform the applicable diagnostic procedure(s). Refer to DTC INDEX .
  No
  - Go To 3
CHECK THE CAC COOLANT PUMP FOR AN OBSTRUCTION BLOCKING PUMP OPERATION
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Drain the Low Temperature Cooling System.
3. Remove the hose from the CAC Coolant Pump.
4. Visually inspect for any debris in the CAC Coolant Pump that can stop the pump from operating.
  Was any debris found causing an obstruction in the pump?
  
  Yes
  - Remove the debris if possible or replace the CAC Coolant Pump in accordance with the Service Information.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Replace the CAC Coolant Pump in accordance with the Service Information.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
