Left Side Or Right Side

NOTE:

If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, use a diagnostic scan tool to perform the Flash Programming Procedure (if available). This will confirm that the module is updated to the latest applicable software level.

REMOVAL 

  1. Remove the front air dam. Refer to AIR DAM, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or AIR DAM, FRONT CROSSMEMBER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  2. Remove the upper screw (1a) for the Active Aerodynamic Module (AAM) (1b).
  3. Move the AAM (1b) aside and then disconnect its wire harness connector (2a).
  4. Remove the AAM.

INSTALLATION 

  1. Inspect the AAM and wiring harness connector integrity.

  2. Connect the wire harness connector (1a) for the AAM (1b).
  3. Position the AAM (1b) and install the screw (2a), without tightening. Attach the AAM to the spoiler stem (2b), then tighten the screw (2a) to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Install the front air dam. Refer to AIR DAM, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or AIR DAM, FRONT CROSSMEMBER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
NOTE:

If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to determine if alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
