Communication And Networks: Communication

The vehicle features a bus architecture called Next-Generation Atlantis Architecture. Data transmission between the various modules in the Atlantis architecture occurs through the following digital networks:

These networks and their subnetworks are protected by a Security Gateway Module (SGW).

CAN-C (CAN-C1) 2.9 V6 Quadrifoglio version with MT

Modules on the CAN-C bus:

R041 - 120Ω network terminal resistor.

The CAN-C reaches the Data Link Connector (DLC) multiple diagnosis connector on pins 6 and 14.

NOTE:

NOTE: The 120Ω terminal resistors of the CAN-C are located in the BCM and in the PCM. For the Quadrifoglio version, one of the two terminals is connected in parallel to the network (the other is in the BCM).

The ACC module is connected to the Forward Facing Camera Module (FFCM) via a dedicated CAN-C line. The reason behind the dedicated data transmission line between the two modules is the continuous exchange of information between them during ACC and Forward Collision Warning (FCW) operation.

CAN-CH (CAN-C2)

The baud rate of the CAN-CH is 500Kb/s (high speed).

The CAN-CH is used by chassis modules to exchange data:

The CAN-CH is in the DLC multiple diagnosis connector. The CAN-CH reaches the DLC on pins 12 and 13

The 120Ω terminal resistors are in the ABS module and the ORC module.

CAN-IHS (CAN-BH)

The baud rate of the CAN-IHS is 125Kb/s (medium speed).

The CAN-IHS is used by the following comfort control type of modules comfort:

The CAN-IHS is in the DLC.

The 120Ω terminal resistors are in the BCM and the IPC module.

LIN NETWORKS

Certain electronic components on this vehicle have am integrated Local Interconnect Network (LIN) communication ability. These components will interface or communicate with their respective master modules. This interface is called LIN network data bus.

The BCM uses four LINs to communicate with the following components:

LIN1

LIN2

LIN3

LIN4

The PCM communicates with the following components on the LIN bus network:

The AFLS module is the LIN master for:

The HVAC module is the LIN master for:

The EMCM is the LIN master for:
