Removal And Installation: Buckle

NOTE:

Before removing and installing the seat belt, observe all the specified safety regulations. Refer to WARNING .

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative cable from the battery.
  2. Remove the seat cushion from the vehicle. Refer to CUSHION, SEAT, DRIVERS SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Release the wiring retaining clips (1) from the seat.
    NOTE:

    Take care not to break the retaining clips.

  4. Loosen the seat guide rear mounting screw (1).
  5. Remove the central and front mounting screws (2a) and pry up the seat guide (2b).

  6. Release the wiring retaining clips (1) from the seat.
    NOTE:

    Take care not to break the retaining clips.

  7. Remove the mounting screw (1a) and remove the anchorage for the buckle (1b).

  1. Position the anchorage for the buckle (1b) in its housing and tighten the mounting screw. Tighten the screw to. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  2. The position of the buckle is identified by the locating tab (1) as shown in the figure.

  3. Secure the wiring using the retaining clips (1).

  4. Tighten the screws (1 and 2a) mounting the seat guide (2b).
  5. Reinstall the seat cushion into the vehicle. Refer to CUSHION, SEAT, DRIVERS SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  6. Reconnect the negative cable to the battery.
