Probable cause(s)

• Shift cable broken or out of adjustment
• Control pin broken
• Transmission range switch defective or out of adjustment
• Drive plate worn or damaged
• Torque converter assembly defective
• Torque converter ring gear worn or damaged
• Transmission assembly and drive plate installation defective

Notes

• Check for a loose shift cable at the shift lever and the control lever .
• Inspect the transmission range switch .
