ECT Sensor 2 Inspection

NOTE:  Since there is no direct method to test the component itself, troubleshooting is performed on the related components.

Test Procedure 

Unit output voltage inspection

• Preparation
• • -

    ECT sensor 2 connector (2P): disconnected

• Procedure
• • Jump the ECT sensor 2 connector (2P) terminals No. 1 and No. 2 with a jumper wire.
  • Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
  • Confirm the HDS [ECT Sensor 2 Voltage].

(Disconnected) ECT sensor 2 connector (2P)female terminals

• Normal Conditions
• • -

    HDS [ECT Sensor 2 Voltage] value is less than 4.92 V  .

Results 

• If it is normal, there is a problem with ECT sensor 2.
• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with other related components.
