DTC Troubleshooting: P0A11(2.0L Engine): Inspection
DC_STS Circuit Inspection
NOTICE:
Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.
Test Procedure
- Preparation
-
- DC-DC converter connector A (3P): disconnected
- PCM connector A (50P): disconnected
- Procedure
-
- Perform the inspection according to the following table.
| (Disconnected)DC-DC converter connector A (3P)female terminals | (Disconnected) PCM connector A (50P) - Refer to: PCM Connector for Inputs and Outputs(3.0L Engine) or PCM Connector for Inputs and Outputs(2.0L Engine) female terminals | ||||
| IG Mode |
|
|
Normal Conditions | ||
| DC_STS open wire inspection | OFF | There is less than 1 Ohm | |||
|
NOTE:
Refer to the Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description
for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.
|
|||||
| DC_STS shorted to power inspection | ON | Not shorted | |||
Results
- If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
DC-DC Converter Inspection
NOTE:
Since there is no direct method to test the inspection item, troubleshooting is performed using a known-good component.
Test Procedure
- Install a known-good DC-DC converter and attempt to reproduce the failure.
Results
- If the failure is reproduced, there is a problem with other related components.
- If the symptom/DTC goes away, the DC-DC converter must be faulty.
PCM Inspection
Test Procedure
- If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.
Results
- There is a problem with the PCM.
