Brake Pedal Position Switch Installation Inspection

Test Procedure

Normal Conditions
- HDS [Cruise Brake Sw/Idle Stop Sw] value is OPEN when the brake pedal is pressed, and is CLOSE when the brake pedal is released.

Results

If it is normal, the troubleshooting is completed.
If it is abnormal, there is a problem with incorrect installation of brake pedal position switch.
NOTE: Reinstall brake pedal position switch correctly.

IG1_ACG, BKSWNC Circuit Inspection

NOTICE:

Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.

Test Procedure

Preparation
- Brake pedal position switch 4P connector: disconnected
- PCM connector B (72P): disconnected
Procedure
- Perform the inspection according to the following table.

IG1_ACG circuit inspection	ON			12 V battery voltage [circuit type 1]
BKSWNC open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
Refer to the Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.
BKSWNC shorted to power inspection	ON			Not shorted

Results

If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
If the power supply inspection of the above table showed abnormally, do the additional Power Supply Inspection , to locate the failure.

PCM Inspection

Test Procedure

If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.

Results
