Brake Pedal Position Switch Installation Inspection
Test Procedure
- Procedure
-
- Do the Brake Pedal and the Brake Pedal Position Switch Adjustment .
- Perform the confirmation procedure.
- Normal Conditions
-
- HDS [Cruise Brake Sw/Idle Stop Sw] value is OPEN when the brake pedal is pressed, and is CLOSE when the brake pedal is released.
Results
- If it is normal, the troubleshooting is completed.
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem with incorrect installation of brake pedal position switch.NOTE: Reinstall brake pedal position switch correctly.
IG1_ACG, BKSWNC Circuit Inspection
NOTICE:
Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.
Test Procedure
- Preparation

- Brake pedal position switch 4P connector: disconnected
- PCM connector B (72P): disconnected
- Procedure
-
- Perform the inspection according to the following table.

Results
- If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
If the power supply inspection of the above table showed abnormally, do the additional Power Supply Inspection , to locate the failure.
PCM Inspection
Test Procedure
- If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.
Results
- There is a problem with the PCM.
