EVAP Canister Purge Valve Component Inspection

Test Procedure

Preparation
- -
  EVAP canister purge valve 2P connector: disconnected
Procedure
- -
  Perform the inspection according to the following table.


		(Disconnected) EVAP canister purge valve 2P connector male terminals

Valve internal circuit inspection	OFF		About 23 - 26 Ohm (at room temperature)

Results

If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the EVAP canister purge valve.

IGPS(PCS) [IGPS(LAF)] Open Wire Inspection

Test Procedure

Preparation
- -
  EVAP canister purge valve 2P connector: disconnected
- -
  Power distribution module connector A (18P): disconnected
Procedure
- -
  Perform the inspection according to the following table.

IGPS(PCS) [IGPS(LAF)] open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm

Results

If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

IGPS(PCS) Shorted Wire Inspection

Test Procedure

Preparation
- EVAP canister purge valve 2P connector: disconnected
- Power distribution module connector A (18P): disconnected
- Turbocharger bypass control solenoid valve 2P connector: disconnected
- Rear A/F sensor (Bank 1, Sensor 1) 4P connector: disconnected
- Front A/F sensor (Bank 2, Sensor 1) 4P connector: disconnected
- EVAP leak check module 8P connector (USA and Canada models): disconnected
Procedure
- Perform the inspection according to the following table.
  Refer to the Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.

IGPS(PCS) shorted to ground inspection	OFF		Not shorted

Results

If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

+B_F/M3 Circuit Inspection

Test Procedure

Preparation
- Power distribution module connector E (2P): disconnected
Procedure
- Perform the inspection according to the following table.

		(Disconnected) Power distribution module connector E (2P) female terminals

+B_F/M3 circuit inspection	OFF		12 V battery voltage [circuit type 1]

Results

If it is abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
If the power supply inspection of the above table showed abnormally, do the additional Power Supply Inspection , to locate the failure.

FI_SUB_RLY_CL- Circuit Inspection

NOTICE:

Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.

Test Procedure

- Power distribution module connector A (18P): disconnected
- PCM connector B (72P): disconnected
Procedure
- Perform the inspection according to the following table.

If it is abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

PCS Circuit Inspection

NOTICE:

Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.

Test Procedure

Preparation
- EVAP canister purge valve 2P connector: disconnected
- PCM connector E (114P): disconnected
Procedure
- Perform the inspection according to the following table.


			(Disconnected) EVAP canister purge valve 2P connector female terminals	(Disconnected) PCM connector E (114P) - Refer to: PCM Connector for Inputs and Outputs(3.0L Engine) or PCM Connector for Inputs and Outputs(2.0L Engine) female terminals

PCS open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
Refer to the Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.
PCS short to ground inspection	OFF			Not shorted

Results

If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

Power Distribution Module Inspection

NOTE: Since there is no direct method to test the inspection item, troubleshooting is performed using a known-good component.

Test Procedure

Install a known-good power distribution module and attempt to reproduce the failure.

Results

If the failure is reproduced, there is a problem with other related components.
If the symptom/DTC goes away, the power distribution module must be faulty.

PCM Inspection

Test Procedure

If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.

Results

There is a problem with the PCM.
