Radiator Test (2.0L Engine): Test

How to use this manual.

1. Radiator - Test

   Preconditions 

   • Engine Cooled Down
   • Front Grille Cover Removed
   • Radiator Cap Removed - Refer to: Radiator Area(2.0L Engine) or Radiator Area(3.0L Engine)

     NOTICE: 

     Wait until the engine is cool, then carefully remove the cap

   Procedure/Specifications 

   1. Fill the radiator with engine coolant to the base of the filler neck.

   2. Refer to the figure.

   Tool Details 

   Name
   a	Pressure Tester (Commercially Available)

   3. Inspect for engine coolant leaks and a drop in pressure.

   Specifications 

   Condition	Specification
   Apply a pressure of 93-123 kPa (0.95-1.25 kgf/cm 2, 13.5-17.8 psi)	Pressure does not drop Engine coolant does not leak

   Result 

   • If it is abnormal, repair the engine coolant leaks.
