Power Window Motor Test: Test: Driver's

Preconditions 

• Driver's Door Panel Removed
• Power Window Motor Circuit Normal Condition

Procedure/Specifications 

1. Test the motor in each direction by connecting 12 volt battery power and ground to the connector according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect 12 volt battery power immediately. (Figure 1 and 2)

• If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, then go to step 2.

2. Remove driver's door panel barrier A .

3. Test the motor by connecting 12 volt battery power and ground according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect 12 volt battery power immediately. (Figure 3 and 4)

Result 

• If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, the driver's power window motor is faulty; replace the driver's door regulator .
• If the motor runs smoothly, replace the wire harnesses or adjust the driver's door glass .

After Test 

• Power Window Control Unit Reset
