EVAP Canister Removal And Installation: Removal
USA and Canada models
- Fuel Tank - Remove
- EVAP Canister Assembly - Remove
1. Support the rear subframe (A) with a transmission jack (B) and a wooden block (C) as shown. 2. Loosen the rear subframe mounting bolts (D, E, F, and G).
3. Lower the transmission jack and rear subframe about 30 mm.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the connecting parts.
4. Disconnect the quick-connect fitting (A), the hoses (B), and the EVAP canister vent shut valve connector (C) and the FTP sensor connector (D). 5. Remove the canister bracket bolts (E).
6. Remove the EVAP canister assembly (F) from the front side.
- EVAP Canister - Disassembly
1. Remove the canister bracket (A). 2. Remove the EVAP canister vent shut valve (B).
3. Remove the FTP sensor (C).
4. If needed, remove the canister spacer (D).
Mexico models
- EVAP Canister - Remove
1. Disconnect the hoses (A), and remove the EVAP canister (B). 2. If needed, remove the EVAP canister bracket (C).
