Engine Oil Pump Removal And Installation: Removal
- Hood - Wide Open
1. Disconnect the support struts from both sides of the pivot ball (bolted to the hood). Secure the hood in a vertical position. Install the left side pivot ball into the lower threaded hole. NOTE: Do not attempt to close the hood with the support strut in the verticalposition, as it will damage the support strut and hood.
- Engine Cover - Remove
Remove the engine cover.
- Front Grille Cover - Remove
- Front Strut Brace - Remove
- Splash Separator - Remove
Remove the splash separator.
- Engine Oil - Drain
- Engine Support Hanger - Install
Install the engine support hanger onto the vehicle as shown, and attach the hook (A) to the engine hanger (B). Tighten the wing nut (C) by hand, and lift and support the engine/transmission.
NOTE:
- Be careful when working around the windshield.
- Be careful not to damage the hood opener cable when installing the engine support hanger at the front bulkhead.
- AAR-T1256 two sets required for stacking additional cross section bar.
- Timing Belt - Remove
- Timing Belt Drive Pulley - Remove
- Oil Filter Base/Oil Cooler/Oil Filter Assembly - Remove
- Oil Pan - Remove
- Oil Pump - Remove
1. Remove the oil strainer (A). 2. Remove the oil pump (B).
