Intake Manifold Removal and Installation (2013-15): Installation

NOTE:  Refer to the Exploded View if needed during this procedure.

  1. Intake Manifold Assembly - Install

      1. Install the intake manifold. Tighten the bolts and nuts sequentially in three steps. Always use a new intake manifold gasket.
    Specified Torque: 
    22 N.m (2.2 kgf.m, 16 lbf.ft) 
  2. Upper Cover - Install

      1. Install the upper cover (A)

    2. Tighten the bolts and nuts sequentially in three steps. Always use a new gasket.

    Specified Torque: 
    12 N.m (1.2 kgf.m, 9 lbf.ft) 
  3. Connector and Brake Booster Vacuum Hoses - Connect

    1. Connect the brake booster vacuum hose (A) and the PCV hose (B).
  4. Connector and Water Bypass Hoses - Connect

    1. Connect the throttle actuator connector (A), the EVAP canister purge valve connector (B), the water bypass hoses (C), the MAP sensor connector (D), and the EVAP canister purge hose (E)

    2. Install the harness clamp (F).

  5. Intake Air Duct - Install

    1. Install the intake air duct (A). NOTE:  When you tighten the band, refer to the throttle body removal/installation procedure .
    2. Connect the breather pipe (B).
  6. Tubes, Hoses, and Connector After Installation - Check
      1. Clean up any spilled engine coolant

    2. After installation, check that all tubes, hoses, and connectors are installed correctly.

  7. Engine Coolant - Refill
      1. Refill the radiator with engine coolant, and bleed the air from the cooling system .
