Cruise Control Combination Switch Removal, Installation, and Test: Test
- Cruise Control Combination Switch - Test
1. Measure the resistance between right cruise switch 16P connector terminals No. 2 and No. 11 according to the table. If there is no resistance in one or more positions, replace the steering commander switch assembly (with built-in cruise control combination switch). Position Resistance OFF About 2.2 kΩ CRUISE (PRESSED) About 60 Ω CANCEL (PRESSED) About 190 Ω SET/- (PRESSED) About 450 Ω RES/+ (PRESSED) About 900 Ω 2. Check for continuity between right cruise switch 16P connector terminals No. 4 and No. 5 according to the table. NOTE: There is continuity in one direction only because the switch has a diode that allows electricity to flow in one direction (forward), but not in other (reverse). If there is no continuity, replace the steering commander switch assembly (with built-in cruise control combination switch).
