    3. Measure the inside diameter of the rocker arm, and check it for an out-of-round condition.
    Rear Rocker Arm-to-Shaft Clearance
Standard (New):  0.015-0.046 mm (0.00059-0.00181 in)
Service Limit:  0.046 mm (0.00181 in)
    Front Rocker Arm-to-Shaft Clearance
Standard (New):  0.015-0.046 mm (0.00059-0.00181 in)
Service Limit:  0.046 mm (0.00181 in)

    4. Repeat for all rockers and both shafts. If the clearance is over the limit, replace the rocker shaft and all over-tolerance rocker arms. If any variable cylinder management rocker arm needs replacement, replace all rocker arms in that set.

    NOTE:
    • Apply new engine oil to the rocker arm pistons when reassembling.
    • When removing the rocker arm pistons from the intake primary rocker arm (B) and the intake secondary L and H rocker arms (C), carefully apply air pressure to the oil passage of the rocker arm.
