DTC B1663: Rear Interior Antenna Circuit Shorted
NOTE:
If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A (see
TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A
).
- Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).
- Select MODE MENU from the HDS, then enter SELF CHECK.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B1663 indicated?
YES -Go to step 5.
NO -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Disconnect keyless access control unit connector B (24P).
- Disconnect the rear interior LF antenna 2P connector.
- Check for continuity between body ground and keyless access control unit connector B (24P) terminals No. 2 and No. 3 individually.Fig 1: Checking Continuity Between Body Ground And Keyless Access Control Unit Connector B (24P) Terminals No. 2 And No. 3

Is there continuity?
YES -Repair a short to ground in the wire.
NO -Go to step 9.
- Reconnect keyless access control unit connector B (24P).
- Connect the voltmeter between rear interior LF antenna 2P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- Select FUNCTION TEST from the HDS, and do REAR INTERIOR ANTENNA L DC OUTPUT.
Is there voltage?
YES -Replace the rear interior LF antenna (see REAR INTERIOR LF ANTENNA REPLACEMENT ).
NO -Replace the keyless access control unit (see KEYLESS ACCESS CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST/REPLACEMENT ).
