DTC 113: Lost Communication with the Gauge Control Module
- Check the gauge control module with the gauge control module self-diagnostic function.
Is the gauge control module OK?
YES - Go to step 2.
NO - Replace the gauge control module and recheck.
- Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
- Turn the ignition switch ON (II) and the adaptive cruise control (ACC) switch ON.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 113 indicated?
YES - Go to step 5.
NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the 20P connector from the ACC unit.
- Disconnect gauge control module connector B (28P).
- Check for continuity between the ACC unit 20P connector No. 10 terminal and gauge control module connector B (28P) No. 16 terminal.Fig 1: Checking For Continuity Between ACC Unit 20P Connector No. 10 Terminal And Gauge Control Module Connector B (28P) No. 16 Terminal

Is there continuity?
YES - Go to step 9.
NO - Repair an open in the wire between the ACC unit and the branch of the F-CAN line (CANH).
- Check for continuity between the ACC unit 20P connector No. 20 terminal and gauge control module connector B (28P) No. 15 terminal.Fig 2: Checking For Continuity Between ACC Unit 20P Connector No. 20 Terminal And Gauge Control Module Connector B (28P) No. 15 Terminal

Is there continuity?
YES - Check for loose or poor connections. If OK, replace the ACC unit (see DISTANCE SWITCH TEST ).
NO - Repair an open in the wire between the ACC unit and the branch of the F-CAN line (CANL).
