One of these symptoms occurs.

SYMPTOM 1 (BOTH SYMPTOM 1-A AND SYMPTOM 1-B OCCUR.)

Symptom Gear position commanded by the PCM Actual gear position
1-A 2nd → 3rd gear upshift The engine speed flares
1-B 3rd → 4th gear upshift The engine speed flares
