SERVICE INFORMATION
Before installing a remanufactured transmission in a '99-03 3.2TL, '01-03 3.2CL, or '01-02 MDX, make sure you inspect the transmission.
'99-03 3.2TL Premium : The '99-03 3.2TL Premium uses a separate speed sensor for the power steering system that is driven by the differential speedometer. This speed sensor requires a hole in the transmission housing.
If there isn't a hole (just a cavity) for the sensor, you must exchange the transmission for one that has a hole. If the hole is plugged, you just need to remove the plug.
'99-03 3.2TLs (except '99-03 3.2TL Premium), '01-03 3.2CLs, and '01-02 MDXs : If there is a hole (used for the '99-03 3.2TL Premium for the differential driven speed sensor), you must plug it before installing the transmission. Use the plug from the core transmission, or order the following parts to plug it:
