No Access To Climate Control Functions From Navigation Panel

  1. Disconnect navigation display unit 5-pin harness connector "A". Disconnect climate control unit 20-pin harness connector "B". Check for continuity in Light Green/White, Light Green/Black and Light Green/Red, wires between terminal A4 of navigation display unit 5-pin harness connector "A" and terminal B12 of climate control unit 20-pin harness connector "B". If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open wire(s) between navigation display and climate control unit.
  2. Individually check continuity between ground and terminals No. 8 (Light Green/White wire), No. 12 (Light Green/Red wire) and No. 14 (Light Green/Black wire) of climate control unit 20-pin harness connector "B". If continuity exists in any wire, repair short to ground between navigation display unit 5-pin harness connector "A" and climate control unit 20-pin harness connector "B". If continuity does not exist, go to next step.
  3. Check for loose wires or poor connections at climate control unit 20-pin harness connector "B"and navigation display 5-pin harness connector "A". If connections are okay, substitute known-good climate control unit and recheck. See CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If symptom does not exist after substituting known-good climate control unit, replace original climate control unit. If symptom still exists, replace navigation display unit.
