DTC 11, 13, 15 & 17: Wheel Sensor Circuit Open Or Shorted

Disconnect ABS/TCS control unit 26-pin connector "A". Start engine. Using DVOM connected to ground, measure voltage at appropriate terminal of ABS/TCS control unit 26-pin connector "A" as follows:
- DTC 11
  
  Terminal No. 11 (Green/Black wire) for right front wheel.
- DTC 13
  
  Terminal No. 9 (Green/Blue wire) for left front wheel.
- DTC 15
  
  Terminal No. 23 (Green/Yellow wire) for right rear wheel.
- DTC 17
  
  Terminal No. 21 (Light Blue wire) for left rear wheel.
See Figure. If voltage is 2 volts or more, check for short to power in affected wire between ABS/TCS control unit and wheel sensor. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If voltage is less than 2 volts, go to next step.
Using DVOM, check for continuity to ground at appropriate terminal of ABS/TCS control unit connector "A" for specific DTC set. If continuity does not exist, go to next step. If continuity exists, check affected wire between ABS/TCS control unit and wheel sensor for short to ground. If wire is okay, check wheel sensor for short to ground. Repair or replace as necessary.
Check for open in affected wheel sensor circuit by measuring resistance at ABS/TCS control unit 26-pin connector "A" between appropriate terminals of affected circuit as follows:
- DTC 11
  
  Terminals No. 11 (Green/Black wire) and 10 (Green wire) for right front wheel.
- DTC 13
  
  Terminals No. 9 (Green/Blue wire) and 8 (Brown wire) for left front wheel.
- DTC 15
  
  Terminals No. 23 (Green/Yellow wire) and 24 (Blue/Yellow wire) for right rear wheel.
- DTC 17
  
  Terminals No. 21 (Light Blue wire) and 22 (Gray wire) for left rear wheel.
If resistance is between 450-2000 ohms, check for poor connections at ABS/TCS control unit. Repair as necessary. If connections are okay, substitute known-good ABS/TCS control unit. If resistance is not as specified, go to next step.
Disconnect affected wheel sensor electrical connector. Using DVOM, measure resistance of wheel sensor between both sensor terminals. If resistance is between 450-2000 ohms, repair open circuit in affected wire between wheel sensor and ABS/TCS control unit. If resistance is not as specified, replace wheel sensor.
