DTC P0130: Heated Oxygen Sensor Circuit Fault
- Connect and operate scan tester, following manufacturer's instructions. Clear codes. Start and run engine at 3000 RPM until fan comes on, then run at idle. Increase engine speed to 2000 RPM, and hold at that speed for at least one minute. If DTC P0130 appears, go to next step. If DTC P0130 does not appear, problem is intermittent. Inspect for poor connections or loose wires associated with HO2S and PCM, then repair as necessary.
- Turn ignition off. Unplug HO2S connector. Start and run engine at 3000 RPM until fan comes on, then run at idle. Measure voltage between terminals No. 1 and 2 at HO2S. See Fig 1
. If voltage is greater than 0.1 volt, go to next step. If voltage is not greater than 0.1 volt, temporarily substitute known good HO2S, then retest system.
NOTE: When substituting a known-good PCM, immobilizer code must be rewritten using Honda PGM tester, or engine will not start.
- Turn ignition off. Reconnect wiring to HO2S. Start engine. Measure voltage between PCM connector "D", terminals No. 18 (White/Red wire) and No. 22 (Green/Blue wire). If voltage is not greater than 0.1 volt, repair open or shorted White/Red or Green/Blue wire between PCM and sensor. If voltage is as specified, temporarily substitute known good PCM, then retest system.
