Excessive Hunting When Trying To Achieve Set Speed
- Check actuator assembly. See ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. Check for tachometer signal on cruise control unit connector (Blue wire). If tachometer signal is present, check cruise control unit inputs. See CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
- If tachometer signal is not present, check Blue wire for an open or short. Repair as necessary. If Blue wire is not open or shorted, check for ignition system failure (no tachometer signal). Repair as necessary.
